A group of Australian Gliding Museum members met in Canberra on 28th April, 2010, to mark the presentation of the Taylor Glider replica, built by the Australian Gliding Museum, to the National Museum of Australia.
This represents a culmination of a project begun in 2006 by Gliding Museum volunteers, to build three replicas of the famous aircraft. The National Museum of Australia replica was built to their own specifications, including coverage with cotton fabric similar to that used on the original glider, whereas the other two were covered with the more durable polyester.
