New workshop donation progress Print

Burnishing the concrete floor Easter 2011 photo J. AshfordThe Museum has received an 18mx10m steel building from Phil and Diane Prapulenus, a wonderful donation.

The building was originally located at Locksley and a working bee to dismantle it was held on Saturday 30 th. May 2009.

The building was re-erected alongside the Brockhoff Annex at Bacchus Marsh during Easter 2011 by local contracter Dean King and John Ashford. Preparation involved building permits etc. which took some time as the original building details could not be found. The concrete floor has one of two coats of sealer already applied and the exterior including the roof is also to be painted to match the Brockhoff Annex. Electrical supply and internal wiring, lights etc. will then be completed.

We have already received requests from other organisations wanting to use this new facility.
